I saw the new movie musical The Producers and noticed in the credits that the Jim Henson Creature Shop was involved and about 8 performers (including Fran Brill). I'm sure that was for Franz's pigeons (including Adolf who does an appropriate salute!). Weird to think of Nazi Muppets - a bit creepy, but hilarious in the context of the movie.

Does anyone know if the Creature Shop created the pigeon puppetry in the Broadway production of The Producers too? They do more in unison and they all salute at once during one point of the production. Really funny.

When I saw The Producers stage show in Sydney I was surprised by the amount of puppetry in it. Not only were there the Pigeons but also in the scene with soldiers, each actor had 2 dummy soldiers beside them and operated the hands so they looked real. It made it look like there was alot more people on the stage.
