This was the place to show at least something, Ill agree with that. If productions being held up, they should have came with concept art or creature shop photos or something.

Yeah, they're really sabotaging themselves. This is the time when fans could get behind them and show the studio suits or whomever that this is a worthwhile endeavor. Instead they've adopted a code of silence which has only been leading up to one conclusion, this project is dead.

its not dead, they just said they had no new information to share at comic con. but its still in the works

Delayed Until 2009!

back on track usually implies BACK ON TRACK! lol I would say that this film is now on a different track, set for a different release year entirely.

It is back on track. The original plan was to have the film finished for release in 2008, however due to some setbacks (with the business side of things) they weren't able to move forward with production in 2007 as originally planned, so they became a year behind schedule. But now have everything ready to move forward. They are back on track; however the film will just be arriving a year later then originally planned due to the delay.

To put it in a railroading terms - The train was delayed and it had to sit on the side of the tracks (for about a year) while things were being fixed. But now the train is now back on the tracks and it will head down those tracks and be arriving at the station as planned - however it will just be arriving at the station a little late.
