Well, I must agree that the Muppet Babies is not cannon.

To start with it is cartoon, therefore it has been written/drawn etcetra, even if we concider the Muppets as real life. Persumably (this is what I think) Miss Piggy decided to get someone to draw out her fantisys so that Kermit could see them also.
