My top 10 favorite Kinks songs

1. Waterloo Sunset
2. Autumn Almanac
3. See My Friends
4. Come Dancing
5. Apeman
6. Dead End Street
7. Plastic Man
8. Catch Me Now I’m Falling
9. State of Confusion
10. Muswell Hillbillies

Honorable mention to their three successive British #1 hits- You Really Got Me, All Day and All of the Night, and Tired of Waiting For You.
They were heavy, and for 1964-65 considered early Heavy Metal. Great sound, but Ray Davies has written better songs.

I was around when these shows were brand new. Having Elton John was a huge score.
At the time, Elton John was as big as the Beatles were in the sixties. The year before he had a #1 hit with “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart”, with Kiki Dee instead of Miss Piggy.
Good stuff.

Now that I've seen all of the Marx Brothers movies (except Love Happy, which I don't expect to see anytime soon.... and besides, it barely counts as a Marx Brothers movie), I'll revise my list of the top ten Marx Brothers movies.

1. Monkey Business
2. Duck Soup
3. A Day at the Races
4. The Big Store
5. A Night at the Opera
6. Horse Feathers
7. Go West
8. Room Service
9. Animal Crackers
10. The Coconuts

And I would rank At the Circus as number 11 and One Night in Cassablanca at 12.

Hey, just because I love musicals doesn’t mean I have to like all of them.

Top 10 least favorite musicals:
1. Dear Evan Hansen
2. Cats
3. My Fair Lady
4. Miss Saigon
5. Thoroughly Modern Millie
6. Carousel
7. No, No Nanette
8. 42nd Street
9. Phantom of the Opera
10. Company

Some of the issues I have with these are that the score and music is really good, but some of the story content runs me the wrong way (I.e racism, sexism, etc) or I just didn’t get the story or I just flat out didn’t like it.

Top ten gags/lines/scenes from the Looney Tunes "hunters trilogy" (Rabbit Fire, Rabbit Seasoning, Duck Rabbit Duck).

1. Elmer season (Rabbit Fire)
2. Daffy's beak spins after being shot (Rabbit Fire)
3. "it isn't 'he doesn't have to shoot you now', it's 'he doesn't have to shoot me now'... WELL I SAY HE DOES HAVE TO SHOOT ME NOW!" (Rabbit Seasoning)
4. Bugs, disguised as the game warden, tells Elmer it's baseball season (Duck Rabbit Duck)
5. Bugs and Daffy dress up as the other species (Rabbit Fire)
6. Bugs dresses as a duck so Daffy tells Elmer "shoot the duck!" (Duck Rabbit Duck)
7. "No more for me, thanks, I'm driving" (Rabbit Seasoning)
8. "Oh no you don't... Not this time... wait until we get home!" (Rabbit Seasoning)
9. Bugs tells Elmer he's using an elephant gun (Rabbit Fire)
10. Daffy insists that Elmer shoot him again and that he enjoys it (Duck Rabbit Duck)

Wow... The three best scenes I listed from Duck Rabbit Duck are practically back-to-back scenes (arguably the same scene, depending on what counts as separate scenes).
