Top ten Marx Brothers films (and these are the only Marx Brothers films I have seen so far, some only once):

1. Monkey Business
2. Duck Soup
3. The Big Store
4. A Night at the Opera
5. Horse Feathers
6. Go West
7. Room Service
8. Animal Crackers
9. The Coconuts
10. One Night in Casablanca

Maybe I'll see the rest some day, or maybe I'll see some of those more times, and decide to revise this list.

If I had to choose one, mine would be Duck Soup. In spite of no scenes with Chico or Harpo playing their instruments, there’s enough classic bits. Props for the mirror scene.

One thing I like about Monkey Business is that it's one of the few to feature them all (whether Zeppo is included or not) as a group from start to finish. Most of them begin with Chico and Harpo as a duo who meet and join Groucho later on, with Groucho and Zeppo being a separate duo (if Zeppo is in it - and even then, Groucho usually spends a lot of time away from Zeppo). Room Service is another of those rarities where Groucho, Chico, and Harpo function as a trio from start to finish as opposed to them all meeting and becoming a trio later.

I probably should see the rest soon. Love Happy will be hard, it's not on iTunes and I don't see physical copies of the movies often (aside from the two-disc release of all the Paramount films, Duck Soup is the only of those available on iTunes).

Until recently, the only ones I had seen were Duck Soup and One Night in Casablanca (the only ones I have seen on Netflix), just before I started watching more of the films I would half-jokingly ask people “what is the best Marx Brothers film that is not Duck Soup?”

If there was room for #11, I’d throw in Jack and the Beanstalk.

I'm a huge movie buff, and I watch all kinds of movies, of all different genres, and countless movies have made a big impression on me, but these are the movies that have had the most impact on my life. As I said, I watch all kinds of movies, so this list is really diverse, and will probably make people laugh at how contradictory some of my choices are.

Anyway:

1. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
2. Sitting Ducks (this actually would tie with Willy Wonka)
3. Caligula
4. Ice Castles (the 1978 original)
5. Beauty and the Beast (1991 Disney version)
6. Modern Times
7. Tracks
8. Chilly Scenes of Winter
9. 8 1/2
10. The Neverending Story

(note how there are not one but two Henry Jaglom films on the list! My favorite living filmmaker, though so many folks can't stand his work...)

Top ten episodes of Bob (Bob Newhart's third sitcom):
1. The Lost Episode
2. Bob and Kaye and Jerry and Patty
3. I'm Getting Remarried in the Morning
4. Mad Dog Returns
5. For Pete's Sake
6. The Phantom of AMCANTRANCOMMCO
7. Better to Have Loved and Flossed
8. The Man Who Killed Mad Dog
9. Tell Them Willy Mammoth is Here
10. Ya Can't Win

Recently saw the whole series, I wish it had succeeded (and wish the first season was successful enough to prevent the season two re-tool).
