Yes, the 70s lineup was far more polished than the original 60s Mother’s.
Sheik Yerbouti was my first Zappa album, and introduced me to the genius of Terry Bozzio (Missing Persons) ion drums, and Adrian Belew (King Crimson) on guitar.
It was hard to narrow it to 10. Joe’s Garage and You Are What You Is were contenders.

Fillmore ‘71 and Just Another Band From LA were great showing Flo and Eddie’s vocal hijinks.
I’m as old as Zappa was when he died. By then he released 60 albums. That’s roughly an album every six months. Nobody worked as hard as him.

Coincidentally, I learned that Frank Zappa died on this day twenty-seven years ago (12/4/93)...a few weeks shy of his birthday.

Yes, and also on this day in 1971, the great Montreux fire. The Mothers were there in Switzerland, somebody in the audience shot a bottle rocket into the ceiling and the place caught fire. Thankfully nobody was killed, but the venue burned to the ground and the band lost all its gear.

Except for a cowbell.
But Deep Purple was also in town, and “Smoke On the Water” was born.

Then a week later in London, some fan jumped onstage, punched Zappa and pushed him off the stage into the lorchestra pit, a good ten foot drop. Zappa spent a year in a wheelchair.
At least he spent 1972 finishing 200 Notels and The Grand Wazoo.

4. Tammy
5. Joselyn
6. Gayle

Top 10 Walking Dead Characters:

1. Michonne
2. Carol
3. Daryll
4. Morgan (That episode with the Cheese Man is probably my favorite flashback in the entire series)
5. Rick Grimes
6. Maggie
7. Glenn
8. King Ezekiel
9. Abraham
10. Eugene

Here are some quick honorable mentions because that show has too many good characters to fit into a top 10 list:

-Erin
-Jerry
-Jesus
-Carl
-Judith
-Princess (I know she's only been around for two episodes as of writing this but she's just so darn likeable. I couldn't help but fall in love with her quirky and upbeat personality. Anyone who can stay at least somewhat joyful during a zombie apocalypse is cool with me. If it turns out that her personality is just a deceptive act and she ends up becoming a villain or something, I will be very disappointed.)
-Shiva (I thought it would be ridiculous to add an animal to the list but I just had to mention her. What a beautiful CGI tiger she was.)
-Hershel (Maggie's father, not her baby that was named after him.)
