What happened to the theory of the humans being like family to the muppets?

First of all, they're not showing much of the humans anymore, and has Snuffy been in the same area with the other monsters at all this season? I haven't been keeping up, but I remember that there was an argument of Snuffy only being viewed by Big Bird, and most of the newer episodes I've seen have gone back to this format.

Why can't we go back to the old format of Elmo? Everything is revolving around him now, at least they added an Oscar segment, but still, they've even tried to make the other monster puppets look like him.

I would be happy if they took Elmo off altogether! :stick_out_tongue:

Maybe Sesame Street is under one of Mumford's spells. Maybe when Mumford was in the street, he performed some magic that brought in Elmo, the little red menace and other characters that dumbed down the show. Let's start breaking that spell and restore Sesame Street to normal. A la peanut butter sandwiches!
