BTW Cory,

Regarding Stulz, he's a great cartoonist in his own right. I still have his business card from out there at MFest.

If you think about it, most people create screenname which they could associate themselves with, and seeing as he chose "frog anus..."

Yeah, it was my understanding, too, that we were going to ignore that guy.

Personally, I think it's his right to feel that way, to express his own opinion. Just he should have more gumption about him to post it at a Disney fan site instead of being a jerk here about it.

If you don't like Muppets or Henson, don't come to a board about them! Easy as that.

EXACTLY!!!! That's the exact message he's just too (insert own nasty comment here) to understand.

Apparently, Frog Anus is where his POV comes from!!!! HA HA HA!!!!

Ignoring.. ignoring...ignoring.....

Ignoring uninteligable bullies is really tough to do, but I'll try!

I hear that! Apparently, he has no way to make friends, so he tries to make enemies instead. That he's successful at... well, that and puckering up to Michale Eisner's butt.

Agent J, buddy...dont you think youve exerted enough size 10 arial font type on this character? C'mon now...that is the point of a rabble rouser, to illicit the most commotion and noise from people.

Also, hey I though you were a huge Disney proponent? heh
I will agree, Disney is just making themselves look bad...almost like Michael Jackson did with that interview! No wonde rPixar wanna squirm out of their contract(tho Pixar wouldnt have half the money they got without the Diz)

Sure they raped every idea A A Milne had into utter oblivion(tho I do love the new Adventures of Winnie the Poo, tigger movie, and cant wait to see the new Piglets movie) And sure Tran Thuk is stitching together Goofy dolls he cant afford. And sure they are continuing to release tepid cheapquelk after tepid cheapquel, covering up theme park deaths like some sort of hidden mickey, and letting Osama and Saddam use the employee malt shop and club 33...but let's forget about that for a second.

The Diz when they want to, accomplishes some astonishing stuff(Fantasia 2000, Emperor's New Groove, Tarzan the animated feature, etc)

Unfortunately the milking and pillaging of classic after classic has just begun. I am a bit interested in the Mickey 50th movie though.
Poor guy hasnt starred in his own movie since the 20's!
(and I mean the 1320's, when he was the star of a 14th century Maltese Fresco comedy troupe)

I know I know!

Just that I cannot stand Bullies. I have been bullied all my life, and they get away scott free. I'm a nice, non-violent guy and I just have to take anger out on these guys. Even if I try to stop.... man, so tough!

Also, hey I though you were a huge Disney proponent? heh

Actually, Disney has it's Hits and misses. Totally agree with the stealing thing. I mean, it's just funny that I'd actually get to the point of HATING Winnie the Pooh, since he was one of my absolute childhood faves, from watching TNA and the classic shorts. Just when that Pooh craze came to fruition, and he was EVERYWHERE, it killed it for me. Almost had the same feeling with Elmo, but I got over it.

Yeah, I mean, between Lilo and Stitch and Emperor's New Groove, those are my absolute two favorite movies. And I always wanted to see Fantasia 2000. I actually heard about this idea back in 1994 (originally titled Fantasia Continued). Tarzan just didn't click with me. I really really wanted to like it, but it fell flat at some points. Did love the elephant, though!

Well.... that was a coincidence. Mickey was actually the product of Felix the cat and all those guys. There was this style of drawing cartoons back then (called the New York style) and, oddly enough it stems from ... get ready for this... BLACK FACE!!!!! Kinda disturbing, I know. I have a history of Animation class, and this was disgussed.

But Really, I kinda feel sorry for the Mouse. I mean, no one really likes him as anything but a company logo or mascot. Heck, they stopped making Mickey Movies because people liked Goofy and Donald much more (me included) because they actually had a personality. But still, Donald flies off the handle (and I can relate) and Goofy screws stuff up with the best of intentions (I also can relate)... what does Mickey do?

The truth is, Walt Disney, throughout his career, had more courage, talent and creative integrity in his little finger than Jim Henson had in his whole hand
Walt may have achived more (Disneyland, WDW, two hit television series, almost every major award, accolades from almost every country, etc), but I wouldn't say his "creative genius" is superior to that of Jim Henson's. Both were great directors, both were childs at heart and both are two of the greatest entertainment figures in history.

That would explain his little known 1931 short "Massa Mouse and the Colonel of Mississippi". While I was just kidding about the 14th centruy Maltese fresco thing, man...I never picked up on the connection between Mickey and turn of the century Minstrel shows. I do know Disney banned its own film from ever being seen in the modern era(the slave themed cartoon/live action Song of the South) Disney should just come clean and come out with an addition to Tommorrow Land and New Orleans in Disneyland. Call it Confederate Land...Slave Ships of the Carribean, Backwoods Bear Minstrel Jamboree, and Grand Wizard Walt's Magical Ride. I knew Disney had some dark stuff to hide in the black magic kingdom, but dang! That just aint cool.

So yeah, it's the same old story. Hitler was a member of club 33, Walt's frozen's body is underneath Disneyland, and the final hidden Mickey is a sign of the apocalypse.

Btw, ya havent seen Fantasia 2000? Oh man, GO RENT OR BUY NOW!!! Brilliant!!! (The whale segment and the Metropolitain jazz Gershwin number are my faves from there)

LOL!!! But really, that thing about Black face ISN'T a joke! I mean, look at Boscoe and Honey, Felix the cat, and Bimbo the dog. Talk about being Bamboozled.

Honestly! I ain't makin' this stuff up.

Of course, it's a lot more watchable than the extremely long and boring Winsor McCay shoirts. I know he was one of the first animators, but really, his stuff was so repetitive. I mean, it was brilliant and all for it's time, but now a days, it looks like they took a 2 second scene of a House flying and turned it into a 30 minute movie.

And Modesty... hoooo boy, if you ever catch one of them, he is so full of himself.
