"The Muppets": What made you laugh

The ones I recall were: "What the Wocka?!" and "I once waited a whole year for September!"

Oh yeah, the gangster Fozzie. Man, at the end when he's all "what the wocka?" like it was a swear word, I was laughing so hard. I cant stand that tough guy gangbanger macho type...actually this movie makes fun of all the people I cant stand(smart phone twitching spoiled princesses, corrupt corporate CEOs, etc)

Yes! The "waited a whole year" bit was good. There's something edgy I always found about the Muppets odd brand of innocent humor.

I was cracking up throughout Walter's flashback after he falls in love with the Muppets. The Kermit cake, the tour book, etc. such a classic Muppet fan.

When Walter and Gary start brushing their teeth and seeing Walter's pearly whites.

When the crowd from the opening dance number yells "They're gone!" and then collapse.

Man or a Muppet song... tears. streaming. uncontrolled. laughter.

Sweetums running from the used car lot.

Walter screaming.

And more I'm certain... perhaps I need to see it again to jog my memory.

I was hoping John Krazinski woulda had more than just a split second cameo! Im such an Office fanboy. Glad Rashida Jones(his ex from Season 2) was in it a lot.

For me it was the whole butchering of Rainbow Connection in Reno by the Moopets. That is such an evocative, powerful and deeply meaningful song...so to have it destroyed in that manner, I was just busting up so much.

Okay, am I the only one who found this part of the film slightly heartbreaking? I mean, the song is funny on its own with all the changes made to it, and I find them taking such a poignant/beautiful song and making it about something so pointless hilarious, but what about the actual scene of this? Fozzie's working in a place that obviously does not treat him well, not to mention he's just not happy. And Kermit's expression as he's taking in his surroundings and realizing whatever Fozzie had told him about his work was a lie... Ugh. It just eats away at my heart.

Another thing that made me laugh: "YOU'RE RUINING ONE OF THE GREATEST SONGS OF ALL TIME!"

Oh and I was dying at 80's Robot dialing up his modem. LOL! That so took me back to my early days here at MC. As soon as I'd hear that sound I would know that I was so close to my happy place.

The modem gag was good--and, guess what, I'm on dialup, so I hear that sound every day! Not that loud, though. It should have taken '80s Robot the better part of a day to locate even one Muppet, though, as modems typically ran at 300 baud back then. I'm ooooold enough to remember being able to read faster than they could put plain text on the screen.

Gonzo sleeping with the chickens in a robe. He reminded me of Hugh Hefner, but with chickens instead of bunnies.

The rainstorm that turned out to be a gardener's hose. The whole audience cracked up at that one.

Walter's teeth. "Yikes--Bwaahaahaa!" I'd been anticipating a gag about brusing his tongue.

All the little gags in Life's a Happy Song about Walter being so teeny--collapsing under the weight of a cake, being kicked away, etc.

The schoolkids' disappointment at having to take a week of vacation.

When Jack Black asked Animal what he was doing, and Animal replied "Acting natural." I also liked his "Innn controoool."

Um... there were more, and I'll remember then when I get home after seeing the matinee today.

I think it feels heartbreaking to see what happened to him, but for me it wasnt til he opens the door and is practically living on the street in a back alley where it really hits you. I was just in Reno, even walked by where this casino was...that whole city really is that insanely depressing. Just being there for 2 days sent me into a bad depression for a week.

It was hard for me to tell it was Smells Like Teen Spirit at first, as they dont really get into the chorus it seems.

But thats another VMX connection...didnt they also cover Nirvana in that one? Or Im probably thinking of something else

Heh, in grade school we had moldy beiged boxed old Apple computers with green monochrome screens. Oregon Trail for the win!

I think maybe I've just seen this movie so many times that, at this point, the second Kermit walks in I'm just all "Noooo Fozzie is so unhappy it kills me!" the third time I saw it I was just noticing Kermit's expression as he saw his ol' pal performing, and it broke my heart. Ah, but you know me, I'm overtly sensitive/emotional.
