More accurate reports state that the Muppets made 60.1 million

It's just about to overtake TMTM as the fourth most successful Muppet movie, and will do so by the end of the week... just over 1 million more, and it will be the third.
I want to know what the appeal is of Twilight? Is it purely a sexual/hormonal release thing? Go pay $11 to watch some hunky lunks fight over some cold lipped damzel? I don't get it. I mean Underworld series and the Covenant looked similar, but flopped at the box office. I guess the Muppets just cant compete with knicker moistening agitprop.

These aren't the issues at hand, and anyone involved with the protests - including yours truly - will fight against a label like that.
I was regularly involved in anti war/anti war on terror protests, free palestine, and other protest/rallys a few years ago back when it was considered too taboo and even too controversial for these liberal whipper snappers:smile: I kept waiting for an en masse awakening of the collective American mindset both college and worker to rise up against these corporate globalist nwo wankers, so Im overall happy with the occupy movement. I just to see it get more focused. Im appy with the idea of squatting/taking over vacant and foreclosed properties.

I feel it has the appeal of terrible fan fics where they randomly pair up characters. I think that's what female porn is... bad forced relationship crap. I don't wanna get too into that, as it's of an adult nature not suitable for this site... but yeah. it's ALL about the sex, albeit slow PG-13 friendly relationship porn. And I SWEAR 75% of the audience is there ironically. But that's not the competition, and we all know it. Sure, Muppets would probably be number 1 without that thing, but I'm sure it would make the same amount of money anyway.

The problem is that there's so many core reasons to be angry that there's no clear voice. The things I completely understand they hate the fact Welfare and social security is getting huge cuts while the Kardashians pay no taxes on their millions of TV shows, the fact that the only difference between dropping out of High School and graduating college is the high school dropout doesn't have thousands of dollars in student loans eating into HIS (HER) BK minimum wage check, and that corporations buy government to make sure they don't lose money (how inbred ARE these CEO's?)... but I don't understand why they don't A) clarify and B) focus their anger at different levels, starting with the greedy, bottom feeding stock traders that manipulate the economy so they can get short term gains. All I'm saying, how come we've been in and out of the recession 20 times when companies are making record profits? Manipulating stocks... that's what.

Oh dude, GE paid NO taxes last year. None. This is the company that owns NBC/MSNBC(yeah "liberal" my behind), makes weapons the US drops on villagers, and so many other things. They made billlllions in profit, didnt pay a darn penny.

Yeah Americans, even the very poor, are glued to their tvs for these ugly celebrity/rich people worship fests.

Here's an example of how messed up things are. Saudi Arabia uses its leverage in washington to turn the FBI and CIA into mo larry and curly in 2000-2001, then uses 19 operatives to kill 3000 Americans later that year. What happens next? America bombs and invades Afghanistan and Iraq, and gives Saudi Arabia 60 billion dollars in defense and oil contracts and becomes bff to the point of Saudi royalty influencing the Bush administration to invade Iraq.

Or when Wall Street lobbied Bush to have the EPA lie through their teeth about the ground zero air quality so they could reopen.

Or when Dyncorp was caught running child sex slavery rings in Bosnia and Afghanistan in recent years, as well as Blackwater involved in all sorts of killings...they were covered up by the state department and continued receiving federal funding.

In foreign examples, Pfizer was literally killing African children in lab experiments against their will in 1996 out in Nigeria. Glaxoklinesmith and other big pharma have been tied to similar stuff. The country of Bolivia was invaded by Bechtel corporation, who privatized all water to wear even collecting rain water was illegal. They used the army to kill people in 2000 trying to get water. Dow chemical killed 30,000 people in Bhopal India, not much happened to them. And big oil like Chevron and Shell destroyed large parts of Ecuador and Nigeria, while Coca Cola hires death squads to kill union leaders in Columbia.

Worst of all? Bayer, who was one of the instruments of the holocaust during WW2, knowlingly was spreading HIV tainted hemophiliac medication to patients(including a large portion who were children) in North America in the early and mid 80's, and then dumped the AIDS causing medication all over the world before they were caught. Hardly anything happened to them.

But because of how the media is controlled, you only hear about this in the newspaper or in shorter news segments noone sees.

They're glued to it because they are poor. It takes their minds off the harsh reality.

No, they're glued to it because they're MORONS! They think they're laughing at the motley crew of hos they have on those programs, but even ironic ratings are ratings. The only way to defeat them is to turn the television off and stop talking about them.

Some of them yes, lol. But overall it's a way to distract from their own miserable lives with no prospects.
You need to see the Mike Judge comedy from a few years ago called
Idiocracy to see where America is heading(or already is)
It's beyond a distraction...

People talk about books like 1984 or films like Network and They Live, but they may not realize just how saturated every part of their life is with commercials(true brainwashing), media programming, and negative tropes and memes they buy into...and especially very unhealthy food choices.

I can see why foreigners laugh at us.

I guess it depends on where you look. Everyone I've spoken to at the several protests I've been to have no complaints about their coffee or technology. If you can point me towards them, I'll gladly do my part and tell them there are more important things happening.
