Hahaha I think the point was the award would go to any ORIGINAL MUSIC FOR TV and award shows are produced Television programs, just like SNL or Colbert which are Variety TV programs, or LTS which was a Made for TV movie. As long as it was on TV. As an award show for Television productions, wouldn't you consider the Emmy's to technically be the award show for award shows?

I was thinking about this yesterday, and I came to this thought..

What if the Emmy Council passed on the idea because the Muppets (the Sesame Street ones) were all over the Daytime Emmys?
