I WISH I still had this one on tape. I must have watched it fifty times after it aired. It looks like a stiff clip show but it's so filled of great performances and Muppet humor that the 'host segments' are the best part!

And Jim does maybe his first cameo when he gets the bill for the banquet!

Weeeeeell, almost, but not quite. Remember, The Great Muppet Caper, where Gonzo takes Jim's picture at the "supper club", had already been released at the time. Though, it is much more memorable. I wouldn't necessarily say THE MOST memorable cameo, that'd probably have to be his cameo at the end of Muppet Family Christmas.

But anyway, the special is absolutely wonderful, isn't it? I just love the Muppet stuff from the fifties and sixties. Seeing the Sam and Friends stuff was neat. I always crack up when Yorrick starts chewing on Kermit's arm.
