I, too, knew Fozzie would be selected right after Statler and Waldorf. Also, I find those emoticons very creative (like Animal with a halo). If there are any other Muppets waiting to be used, we’d have to figure out what other moods and stuff can be used.

You know, when I look at the face Fozzie’s had since the early 2010s, I can’t help but wonder, whose idea was it to shrink his nose and put a sizable gap between the nose and the mouth? Eric Jacobson’s? Because to be honest, I’ve always found it to be a little bit off-putting. If you look at the graphic of Fozzie to be used for magnets, you’d know what I mean. I personally prefer the face he had in the early’80s, specifically The Great Muppet Caper. To each his own, I suppose.

Well, Entry #53 has been revealed. It just so happens to be... Foo-Foo. So I'm expecting another angry Miss Piggy video drop on the weekend.
Also, we've gone through a whole year, from Rowlf as #1 on August 23 2024 to Foo-Foo as #53 on August 22 2025. And there are seventeen weeks left.

My have-to-be included list now includes:
Mahna Mahna & The Snowths.
Jim.
Miss Piggy, (unless she's secretly being counted as Entry #0 from last year's D23 convention).
Gonzo the Great.
The Newsman.
Clifford.
Dr. Phil van Neuter.
Marvin Suggs.
Lips.
Uncle Deadly.

It turns out that, although Piggy is bummed about not being chosen, she for one is happy that Foo-Foo has a turn. Check her account on Instagram or wherever you find it on social media.

Just to let you guys know... Entry #54 was revealed as the seamstress queen of the theater troop, Hilda the Wardrobe Lady. Nice to finish off August with some needles and pins, still got hopes for the rest of the lineup.

Ah, who could ever forget the Eastern European wardrobe lady herself? She was a recurring part of the show during the days when Fozzie had a slightly wide mouth, Gonzo was more solemn than strange, Miss Piggy switched between Frank Oz and Richard Hunt, Sam introduced Wayne and Wanda on a regular basis, Bunsen had no hapless assistant, Janice wasn’t talking like a valley girl, a grumpy predecessor to Beauregard appeared here and there, and the Gogolala Jubilee Jugband performed as frequently as the Electric Mayhem did during S1.

If Hilda can make the cut, surely a few other retired characters, like Clifford, might have a shot.

Another Muppets on Muppets video popped up, and this time, it’s a Bilba-Retta (sorry, couldn’t resist) Muppet doing the talking. That, of course, would be Dr. Teeth using his rhymes and what I imagine he’d call his “vocabulariation” to answer Hilda-related questions.

If his talk of her hemming his trousers is to be believed, Hilda might not be long gone at all. If they were to reintroduce her, maybe Stephanie D’Abruzzo could take on the role.

Well, after today I hexpect everyone will be singing The Neverending Fifty-Five Phenomena. At least until next week when we get the next entry in the character spotlights.

Today's entry means we're at eleven/fourteenths complete, still got a few on my list to be included.
