A Bilbaretta (that’s how I shorten Bill Barretta) character who’s not as frequently performed as the others and his right-hand simian - another double this week!

I believe this is the first time a Brian Henson character is featured even though he’s only second banana. Sometimes I wonder what’s keeping Brian from performing as often as his old man did.

Let's shout, make a fuss, scream it out, wheee! #49 has been revealed, you guessed it (or not), La Cabra! So that gets us to the 70% mark of this run. Hey, that's the anniversary we're celebrating, nicely numerically copesetic. :batty:  :fanatic:

It’s been years since I watched Muppets Now. The second I saw the screaming goat, I immediately thought of Muppets’ Haunted Mansion because of its pupils.

Since the goat and the legal weasel have been featured, I’m much more certain the turkey (Beverly Plume) will also be featured.

We got to #50! And who got the gold star to mark the 5/7 point of the Muppets spotlights? It's the curly-cued choreographer from the stage troop or waiter/server ghost from the 99 Happy Haunts... Howard Tubman!
So that's another Bill Barretta character in as many weeks.

As for next week, that's the date of August 8, known as The Haunted Mansion's own anniverscary (#56 this year). So who would be some good guesses other than Uncle Deadly?
Mulch?
Mummy and Duddy?
The Newsman?

Looking forward to whoever gets featured. :scary:

That marks four times somebody from my ‘Maybe’ list got featured (five, if you count the penguins). Fancy that! So far, Howard is the fifth pig to be showcased.

The reviews are in for Entry #51, and they're all over the place. Someone rated the duo as great, while being contradicted by saying they were terrible. They then went on in that vein until ending back at opposite ends of bad and good. Ultimately, they decided they'd seen everything and decided to leave before coming back for more the next day grumbling about how their dreams of returning to theater one day were more like living nightmares.

Yes, if you couldn't tell, this week we got both :boo: and  as added spotlight characters. Thumbs up or down, the hecklers of the troop are now part of the 70 years profiles.

Your way of bringing up the pair being showcased is not without wit. I wonder what those senior spectators think.

W: Imagine that! We’re part of the Muppets’ 70th anniversary campaign.

S: Well, better now than later.

W: Why’s that?

S: If they did the campaign for the 75th anniversary, it would have been five weeks longer!

(both laughing)
