"Saying Goodbye" ALWAYS makes me cry.....Oddly enough, I also always tear up a little at ANOTHER part of that movie: the part where Kermit gets his memory back and he starts singing "look at me, here I am, right where I belong...." and they're all SOOOO happy he's back, and he gets ontage and the band sees him, and they're all SOO ECSTATIC b/c it's KERMIT and he's BACK!!!!! I mean, c'mon, they were probably starting to think they were NEVER going to see Kermit again!!!!! .....Also, the "Magic Store/Rainbow Connection" finale makes me cry EVERY TIME!!!! "I'm Going to Go Back there Someday" makes me cry like a BABY. Also, (and maybe this doesn't count), but when I was reading the description of the live Muppet show & the song "Whatever Happened to Show Business", & the finale, I SERIOUSLY started to tear up!!!!

When Fozzie realized that he had the wrong bag and had failed Kermit. Just the look on his face and the way his voice sounded was so sad.
I have to agree with that one. That was a touching moment between Kermit and Fozzie. I liked when Kermit told him that their friendship was more important that the theater. It's too bad his speech was interrupted by Mrs. Bitterman.

Funny....I thought I'd posted, but I can't find it....No matter.
"Saying Goodbye" makes me cry like a BABY!!!! Especially b/c you see Muppets that you'd never seen interacting before hugging each oher!
I also tear up, (and this is gonna sound weird), in ANOTHER part in MTM, when Kermit gets his memory back, and he starts to sing, "look at me, here I am, right where I belong..." and everyone's so happy he's back, and they rush Kermit onstage, and Dr. Teeth shouts, "Hey! It's Kermit!" and they're all ecstatic!!! It makes me tear up b/c I'm just so HAPPY for them that Kermit's back!!!! (This is the part where everyone starts to smile, nod, and back away slowly....)
"Things That I Remember", an SS song by Bert & Ernie, makes me break down. That's b/c I understand, since my best friend in the whole world is my brother, and we do so much together....
The scene in the desert where Kermit's talking to himself a/b how "he never promised anybody anything" makes me teary....And then, when "I'm Going to Go Back there Someday" starts, I just start to CRY!!!!
The wedding scene in MTM! "He'll Make Me Happy" is the GREATEST wedding song ever!!! Also so touching, the scene where you see all the Muppets in the church singing!
I teared up reading a/b how Frank Oz once said he'd never do Bert to anyone else's Ernie.....I mean, B & E were, like, their own little inside jokes....It must just not be the same w/o Jim!
I didn't get to see it, but reading a/b the live Muppet show @ Muppetfest, especially, "Whatever Happened to Show Business", (which seemed to be the Muppets wondering how they fit in these days), and the "Rainbow Connection" finale @ the end made CRY, just READING a/b it!!! (Course, I was also sad I wasn't THERE!) Also, Sal saying, "Rowlf's got a song! And I'm gonna sing w/him!" For some reason that made me cry! (Glad to hear Rowlf was BACK!)
Tribute to Jim. I was just 5 when it happened, so it didn't affect me as much THEN, but when I saw it again a couple of years ago....
Gonzo singing "My Way" & breaking down, & his other goodbye, on MFS. I also cried when he came BACK, and Rizzo jumped on him!
The Cratchits mourning for Tiny Tim, especially Piggy crying.
"Bless Us All." (But, then, I love Robin.)
"Rainbow Connection". It just gets to the dreamer in me....As well as "The Magic Store" finale in TMM......
Ever hear Gonzo sing "The Wishing Song?" BEFORE the chicken comes on....(I love you, Gonzo!!!! Just the way you are!!!!)
Rowlf & Floyd's renditions of "New York State of Mind" held especial poignance after 9/11 for me......
....I think that's it!!!!

Muppets From Space

There's something I have to mention here. I just received Muppets From Space today. There was a real tear-jerker near the end of that one. It was the part where Gonzo said goodbye to his friends. He told Kermit he was the best friend an alien could ever ask for. Heck, I tear up just thinking about it. It's such a touching scene.

Oh, a few comments in response to the last post:

Also, Sal saying, "Rowlf's got a song! And I'm gonna sing w/him!" For some reason that made me cry! (Glad to hear Rowlf was BACK!)
Was that from last Friday's Christmas special? I don't remember that part. When was it?

I teared up reading a/b how Frank Oz once said he'd never do Bert to anyone else's Ernie.....I mean, B & E were, like, their own little inside jokes....It must just not be the same w/o Jim!
I've read the transcript to that one at the SSLA. That one must have been recently after the death of Jim Henson. It seemed to have been used as a tribute to him with Steve performing Ernie singing the song, but Jim's Ernie in the flashbacks. Is that song available for download anywhere?

There's so many, how can you choose? I'm crying just reading this list. I'd have to say, I cried through various moments of MFS And during Fozzie's scene with the money. (man, I wish that scene weren't so stinkin' funny!) but, I think the one that always gets me is "Saying Goodbye" and The Muppet Movie. (love dream movies) I wish I had seen TMM in the theater, I would have aplauded like crazy at the end of that!

Just saw MCJH for the first time. The Letters. I was at the Muesum of TV and Radio, and i was crying so much the attendant had to come over to see if I was All right!

There's a moment in the Don Knotts eps of TMS where Rowlf sings "What a wonderful world" to a puppy. I cried pretty hard.

there's a moment in ech film:

TMM: Rainbow Connection, Ghost town speech, Back there someday, Kermit's talk with himself in the desert.

TMTM: Saying goodbye, Piggy's speech to kermit just before she chops him to get his memory back, The little song kermit sings at the end.

GMC: The Moment where Kermit picks up Piggy's glass shoe and holds it.

MFC: The meldy at the end; Chef and Big Bird's duet of Chesnuts rating on an open fire"

Emmet Otter: Walking back from the talent contest.

MCC: The without Tiny Tim Scene. Seve (Kermit and Betinaa Crachet), Frank )Piggy) Dave, (Belina Chrachet) (playing Peter chrachit) play it wonderfully, and Micheal Canie's reaction is tearjerking;

MTI: Love Led us Here (thjough it could have been more effective if they hadn't cut to the pirates rejocing in the truesure.)

VMMC, when Kermit justs starts yelling at the begining and storms out of the theater; Fozzie sitting forlonely outside the bank and his wordless reaction to Kermit; Piggy as a Cat lady and Miss Cleo; Gonzo's verse at the start of the Everyone Matters song.
