Parker: Well...most of the sit-coms on TV are too complicated to follow anyway...but, hey, you have a great idea...hide and seek...I've hidden from myself long enough, it's time I seek out a new life...*smiles as idea trickles* I have a better game...ever played find and keep?

Young Mairin: <blink, shakes cute little pig-tailed head> What's that?

Parker: It's like Finders keepers, loosers weepers...but sophisticated and less girly. *pulls out mobile phone and dials* Mom? Listen. I can't explain now, but I'm in France. Yes! You need to get here now. Meet me at Frank's place. Bye! *hangs up* Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four...*a jet takes off from the MopFam house and dissapears into the evening* Right on time. I left in a hurry...do you have anything on you I can pick a lock with?

Young Mairin: <pulls out lock pick> How about this? I found it in the sand box...

 

[Beauregard]

Parker: That works...*picks lock* Great...Can you go upstairs, on the right. It's...er...my mom's room where she keeps...*ahem*...my pocket money. Can you get all the money you find in there and bring it to me? *starts scrounching through cupboards downstairs, slipping certain items into pockets*

Young Mairin: <runs up stairs and enters room> What horrible decor...<she wrinkles her nose in disgust and tosses the room looking for money>

Parker: *finds a rucksack and begins loading food from the fridge, a loaf of bread, a bottle of milk* Typical...we're out of coffee...*loads a packet of tea into bag* I hate that stuff...still... *pulls open a drawer and finds plane tickets to Italy* *snaffles them* Any luck on the money, Girl-from-the-street-whose-name-I-forget-or-don't-know?

(Out of character: The Moppet Family is a Role-play game, of a tv sit-com, with characters played by various MC members. Originally started here, the game quickly established something of a cult following among it's players and developed into "The most complicated non-existant situation-comedy, never to be produced."

If you, or anyone reading, would like to join the game as a character, send a PM to myself of ChristyB or Count and we can clue you in to the nature of the MopFam universe, and suggest some characters and ways to use them.

Be warned though, it is not for the faint of heart as 14 pages can pass in an evening in which a house is exploded, people go back in time, kittens turn into humans, dragons sneeze, the Underworld calls, and pirates battle against secret agents. On the other hand, it's a story of a middle-class American family dealing with everyday situations.)
