Over the years, Iv'e seen the Sesame Street Garage be used for many different things. In 84, or so, Herry Monster slept in there one night, and I remember Telly (as Monster on the Spot reporter) going in to wake him up. Once in a while, I'd see some human cast members come out of there. Now it's Gina's Veternarian's office. I often would see kids or human cast members coming out of there when they first entered a scene. Does anyone else know of any other uses of the Garage? Was there any episodes in the 70's or any other time that showed the inside of the Garage? Please let me know.

It may have been used for the Sesame Street resident's cars at one time, back in the 70's or early 80's before I was born or can remember the show. That might explain why nowadays Oscar's sloppy Jalopy is usually seen parked in the street, in front of his trashcan. :grouchy:

I remember seeing a clip where a car was coming out of there before. But I also seen it used for storage, too a few times.

I seem to recall that the inside of the garage was shown at one time - I believe there were some washing machines & dryers for everyone at 123. This was a while ago, so don't hold me to it.

I do know that in the early to mid 1990s, the garage served as an art studio for Hiroshi, an artist who lived on the street for a while. Hiroshi could sometimes be seen painting on a canvas near the garage.

During my age of viewing (up until 1980 or so), Susan used the garage for parking her Volkswagen Beetle, but I really can't recall seeing the inside.
