I think at the end of the day, if we can't find any recent photos, the best thing to do is just wait for the special to air and see what happens.

It's exciting to see them actually film on location again. It brings to mind those episodes when they went to Hawaii, Montanna, and Puerto Rico, or those various times they filmed in New York's Chinatown, and the Wish You Were Here segments with Big Bird from the 90s. I love when they interact with locals from different places and learn about other cultures, and what better place to do that than a place as diverse as New York.
