It's in one of the "Adoption Of Miles" episodes, but definitely does date back to at least the second (1970-1971) season.

I remember noticing as a 3-year-old kid back then when I first saw it, that one of the princesses' voices sounded just like Betty Rubble. And of course, the King (Jim Henson) sounds just like Rowlf.

It's the 'Land of 8', but the Jester/Messenger are one and the same, meaning he's both a jester and the king's messenger.
