When John Candy co-owned the Toronto Argos (CFL), (w/ Wayne Gretzky, Bruce McNall), he would come talk to fans in the stands, one of the nicest guys you could have met! I'm glad that finally his name will be put on the Grey Cup.

He was also originally cast in Ghostbusters as well, but Rick Moranis got that part. Additionally, Richard Pryor was to get a role that was originally written for John Belushi when Dan Akroyd wrote the original script back in the early 80's before Belushi's death.

In fact, Pryor and Candy were both drawn into the storyboards before they were recast.
I believe Aykroyd originally wrote the part of Peter Venkman for John Belushi. So Pryor would have played Venkman? Interesting. I could also see Candy as Louis.

Interesting that both Pryor and Candy were storyboarded.
