The History of the Muppet Frogs

The Muppet Frogs first appeared in the 1971 special The Frog Prince. They also
appeared in The Muppet show from 1976 till 1981. In Little Muppet Monsters
they might do a cameo or be in a skit. In Sesame Street they debuted in 1986.
In Muppets Tonight they appear in the audience.

What about all the frogs in Kermit's Swamp Years? Or does that even count?

It's totally a question of the chicken or the egg. I heard that there was once a Muppet tadpole, and someone snatched him up and extracted some DNA. With this DNA, new Muppet tadpoles were born, and they grew to become Muppet frogs. These Muppet frogs were seperated and placed under different environments and surrounded by different creatures. Of these frogs, the most personable was named Kermit, and he was tapped to become a star. The others lacked Kermit's wit, personality and charm and were placed in smaller roles. The rest is history.

Yes there were Muppet Frogs in Kermit's Swamp Years. There was some at the pet store inside. I think there was one named Roy who introduced himself to Blotch. And they also appeared in the science class. One of the frogs said let the frogs go. And they also appeared while they ran into Young Kermit.
