The Herry monster appreciation Thread

The reason for that was because the audio was taken from a record album that had a track with Cookie Monster and "another monster" that Jim Henson voiced. I guess they decided to use the Herry puppet for that one, though Jerry Nelson has been Herry's performer since Day One.

Yes, I was wondering about that.

There was also a skit where Herry was won as a prize in Dialing For Prizes Movie. Only his role in here is a growling monster. I wonder if it was a different monster who looked like Herry?

Yes Herry Monster is one of my favorite monsters on Sesame Street. I would love to see him come back as more of a main character but i don't ever see it happening soon. I do miss him so much on SS.

One of my favorites was always "Fuzzy and Blue" and him and John John. Cute stuff with Herry.

Aww, i miss Herry Monster! I've always wondered what happened to him, too.
One of my favourite clips would have to be the classic one with Kermit and the X-Ray, I remember seeing that one when I was really little. Actually, i haven't seen it in ages, but I think it's on the "I'm Glad I'm Me" video.
I also love the really early one (he has a fuzzy nose!) which features on the first SSt "Old School" box-set where he sings about round things with Cookie- very catchy. And when he sang the "mmm" song about food- also with Cookie.
He also made a few appearences on videos in the 80s/90s. I remember he was the anchorman in the "We All Sing Together" and was also in the "Monster Hits!" video.
I miss the guy!

Herry counting to 20 with John-John has to be my all time favorite, I still crack up at that bit!
