Just out of curiosity, why do you have this obsession for this song? Not to be rude, I'm just wondering.

"Fur" (composed and arranged by Sam Pottle, lyrics by David Axelrod) was composed in 1975 for 4 anything muppets. It was re-recorded in 1997 for Zoe, Grover, Elmo, & Herry.

"Fur" was first shown in season 7 (1975-76) and repeated in seasons 8,9,10, 14,16, and 23. Puppeteers (and voices) were Jim Henson, Frank Oz, Richard Hunt, and Jerry Nelson.

The new version (arranged by Mike Renzi) has the voices of Kevin Clash, Fran Brill, Frank Oz, and Jerry Nelson. It premiered in season 29 (1997-8) and also played in season 30. It was last seen in show 3934 in season 32.

Yep, it's on the Sesame Street commercial video "Monster Hits". If you can't find it in the stores, check eBay or Amazon.

Just trying to be helpful.

SstVideo, I bet you got the information of the listing of seasons from exactly the same place as me! Did you call Sesame Workshop and ask them about it?

(212) 595-3456. Ask for someone in the music department. But please don't tell them who sent you there.
