How about some help with this early one?

First was me (father)
Then was we (mother)
Then was them (siblings)
and that makes all of us

cause we're a family, a family
a family
family, family
a family

each like the other;
sister brother father mother.

(then comes the parade of pets singing bit)
and the doooooooooog, came later onnnnnnnnnnnn......
and so did the cat,
and the goldfish,
and the turtle,
and the _______,
and the car! (until we moved and we sold it)

Oh my goodness, somebody else remembers this one besides me! Bless you and keep you!

The pets singing (I love Jerry Nelson's voice on this)
And the dooooooooooog came later oooooooooooooooon
And so did the cat
And the goldfish
And the turtle
And the frog
And the car... until we moved and we sold it!

After each verse, a new set of Anything Muppets came out with different hair, eyes, clothes, etc., but the voices stayed the same.

The skit ends with Family #1 singing
"A perfectly ordinary ordinarily perfect..." then the muppets twirl around, then cut to...

Family #2
"A perfectly ordinary ordinarily perfect..." twirl/cut/edit

"A perfectly ordinary ordinarily perfect FAMILY!!!!" But somehow the beard ends up on the mother, the son has the mother's dress on, and they all look at each other like..."What the..." :excited:

Thanks for remembering this one. To show my gratitude, I'll send you a lifetime supply of dehydrated water. :smirk: :stick_out_tongue:

Let's see, the father was Jim Henson(Rowlf voice) and he was fat and blue. The mother was tall and orange and she was Fran Brill.(or was it Carrol Spinney)The son was Jerry Nelson(Robin or Gobo voice)and with a green pointed-head. And the daughter was deep-purple and she was Frank Oz(Miss Piggy voice).

But I need info on what they looked like as animals.

A sound clip of this song is available on the CD-Rom program: "Sesame Street: Numbers."

This was another favorite of mine when I was a kid. It started out with the anything Muppets with no clothes on and even no eyes or no noses. Then they kept going behind the screen changing into different family forms. Then later, out came a dog, a cat, a goldfish, a turtle, a frog, and a car who ran into the animals but didn't run them over.

Then the family came back out and then spun themselves around a few times and getting their body parts mixed up where the son has a beard and a bow on his head and the daughter has both her eyes crooked, with the mom dressed like the dad and vice versia. And it ended with them looking at each other saying, "What happened?!"

If anyone has this classic skit on tape, please let me know. I would love to trade for it.

It's also on The Video Shalom Sesame:Tel Aviv.
i swaeri only rememebr seeing that 1 in the 70s. unlike so many from that time that were reused. why did this 1 slip through the cracks? and while we're at it, the E & B skit were Ernie is playing his drums and bert had to go and mail a letter and when he came back and knocked on the door, Ernie would play his drums to Bert's knocking. and thought i 1st saw it in the late 80, i know it would of also had to have been made in the early 70s due to the video quality. wierd.
