It's pretty bittersweet how holidays that have such strong buildups just end so abruptly.
Well, particularly if they're at the end of the month, as basically the three major end-of-the-year holidays are.

Then you've got holidays that are at the beginning of the month, like the 4th of July, where it actually feels awkward to keep the spirit alive for the rest of the month for seemingly no reason.

The, there's Valentine's Day, which is right smack-dab in the middle of the month, so there's equal amount of build-up and tapering off, lol.
