Can anyone describe the Ed Sullivan days for Henson?

..did Jim compose and sing that "Ma-Na-Ma-Na" song he used on Sullivan? I can't recall if Jim puppeteered and sang that song or any other songs on other earlier broadcasts....

Kermit was created BEFORE Rowlf in the 50's, yes?
