The debut of the SS muppet characters

Hello. I know some Sesame Street Muppets that first appeared on any street segments, songs and years on each episode. Mine were Big Bird first appeared on the premiere episode where he tries to look at Sally, Oscar's first appearance which he was orange and talks to Sally, Bert and Ernie appeared on their own skits before Sesame Street, Kermit first appeared on the street where he sees Bob making the "W" in a dollar before he starts the "W" lecture, Cookie Monster first appeared on the sketch where Kermit tries to perform the "W" lecture, Guy Smiley and Sherlock Hemlock first appeared in 1970, Mr. Snuffleuphagus first appeared in the 1971 premiere, Sam the Robot first appeared in the 1972 premiere, Barkley the Dog on episode #1186, and of course, the Anything Muppets: the purple little girl, the pointy green head boy, the purple woman, the tall orange man and a Fat Blue-like man on the premiere episode. I don't know all of the other characters that first appear on each street segment or skit or year. Do you remember what street segment or skit or year did these characters first appear:

Bert and Ernie appeared on their own skits before Sesame Street,

Wow, I never knew that. Where were their early skits shown?

I guess we should also mention that Kermit is older than "Sesame Street."

I guess I remember seeing the preview of the early Bert and Ernie sketch where Ernie talks about the number two and pulls Bert's nose and puts it on his head and now has two noses. There was also a skit where Bert and Ernie watch classic clips on television as well.

I forgot what years and skits did Prairie Dawn and Betty Lou first appear. What year and skit did Prairie Dawn and Betty Lou first appear? And what skits did each character like Grover, the Count, Elmo, Telly, Zoe and many other characters first appear?

As far as Grover's first appearance, (not counting "brown Grover" or Fuzzy-Face, as he was called in 1969),

his first appearance on a Street segment was in the 1970 season premiere,

where he participated in "One of These Things" with Bob and Susan.

He was perched behind Oscar's garbage cans and watched while Bob did One of These Things with circles, drawn on Big Bird's doors.

Yes, Ernie and Bert.

Their first appearance was actually not even nationally aired.

It was on the ORIGINAL Sesame Street pilot episode that was shown in July of 1969 (not the famous November 1969 pilot shown on Noggin), and only shown to 100 families who were paid by CTW to watch a week's worth of test shows on a UHF station in Pennsylvania.

Ernie and Bert were the only Muppets on the show and did not interact with the humans....That is, until test audiences found them the only redeeming quality of the shows.

And you're right, Ernie and Bert's first sketch was the "two noses" one.

There's an endearing moment during that scenario where Bob flubs his line but recovers as best he can. He says "all four of these things are circles, Different. No, wait, you're names not 'Different', you're name is Grover!" I'm kind of glad they used that take.

Actually it DID air. I remember clearly, I saw it one one of the SSUs I got recently. Don't remember which one though ... was it one of yours, Super Scooter?
