*dodge the rocks and cast Protect on myself at the same time*

*flies up and starts concentrating*

*a black energy orb starts forming around body*

*coyote howls and sends more rock spears at Yuna*

 

[Yuna Leonhart]

*too busy dodging rock spears and cursing to actually help fighting*

 

[Sgt Floyd]

*orb gets bigger and bigger*

*dives at the ground near the coyote*

*huge explosion of blackness, decimating everything around it into dust...everything has a dark and really depressing charred look to it*

*coyote looks seriously injured*

 

[Yuna Leonhart]

*look open-mouthed at the scenery and the coyote*

*don't know what to do*

 

[Sgt Floyd]

*grabs coyote by the neck and jams hand into it's chest*

 

[Yuna Leonhart]

*wince at the rather unpleasant sight*

*wonder what he's doing*

 

[Sgt Floyd]

*removes hand from it's chest, holding a familiar purple orb*

*the coyote turns back into an unconscious Rex*

*crushes the orb in claws, causing it to explode into a small cloud of purple mist before it fades away*

*Wakes up again*

*slowly descend, standing right next to Johnny and Rex*
