*the race starts*

*has to remember that speed means nothing and it's all about dodging things*

*easily dodges the first few trees and uses a rock like a ramp and jumps off it, clearing some more rocks in the process*

*some people have already crashed*

 

[Yuna Leonhart]

*watch the race, wincing every time somebody crashes*

*cheer for Johnny*

 

[Sgt Floyd]

*the lady from the diner happens to be watching the race a few seats back from Yuna*

 

[Yuna Leonhart]

*oblivious to the lady since I'm too absorbed in the race to notice anything around me*

 

[Sgt Floyd]

*the lady notices the two of them*

*she thinks to herself* it's those two from the diner...

*people are dropping like flies in the race*

*wince every time something happen to the other contestants*

*mumble You can do it, Johnny. I know you can*

*get a feeling as if somebody's looking at me and turn around, spotting the lady from the diner*

 

[Sgt Floyd]

*the lady looks at her*

 

[Yuna Leonhart]

*look at the lady, not sure if I should say something to her*

 

[Sgt Floyd]

*the lady finally decides to climb down the stands and sit next to Yuna*

Lady: You know, no one has ever done this race without seriously hurting themselves...

*only about halfway through the course*

That would explain the name...

*think Is she trying to tell me something? That she suspects something?*
