The place is barren and desolate. There are no native animals or no plants. The place looks like a muddy-ice ball. The place is rocky, full of hills and valleys and cliffs. The place where my creatures land is a jagged cliff face that is so tall that if you fell from the top and couldn't stop your fall, you'd be dead upon impact with the ground.

There are spurs of rock and caves that litter the cliff face and the cliff is sitting on a major fault line. The entire planet is very unstable. An earthquake can happen at a moments notice. All kinds of other natural disasters can happen at a moments notice. The atmosphere is the same as the one that we have here, on Earth.
