???: Below you. I am the Asterite, guardian of the ocean. Even though the Atlantians are gone...moved on to the future where they are safe, I still try to maintain peace and balance in the ocean.

*look down, now seeing the DNA strand made of orbs*
Woah. Er, hi.

So, um, you basically make sure the world won't be flooded, huh?

Alan: *Says nothing for a moment.* Why don't Gosno and Wfthly use trahhalseck to get to whatever planet they...
Kakeve.
Alan: Ok then, Kakeve, to get prey for the other creatures to eat by just slipping through whatever boundary is around the planets that they are trapped on.
Hmm...I like that idea. I really do like that idea. They could slip through the barrier field because they are dead, and therefore not made up of matter as we know it. Yeah, that'll work.

Asterite: Not quite. I do not have control over what happens on land, but I try to make sure that sea creatures live in harmony.

So uh....the big sphere thing said something about aliens?

Asterite: I assume that you mean the Vortex? The vortex was a race of aliens that fed on sea life and were at war with the Atlantians, who wanted to protect it. Eventually, the Atlantians had to flee into the future. I know not of their current situation, only that they are in a safe place. Years went by and another invasion of the Vortex took place. This time, a brave dolphin was able to defeat the Vortex Queen twice. After her second defeat, she and the vortex agreed to become one with the creatures on earth and traveled back in time. Some of them were able to adapt and evolve into animals you know today. Some of the vortex's descendants evolved into what you call humans, but wanted to stay underwater. Unable to do so, they developed a way to stay underwater and take the form of a sea creature. Seeing as how they changed their ways, I appointed a kraken to guard them. But years ago I felt the death of those who stayed in what you call the lake.

(And that's the story of Ecco until the evolving into humans part...)

Just to make sure I didn't misunderstand anything- The Vortex were initially the bad guys but after their queen was defeated the second time, they more or less became good and some lived underwater in the lake until years ago...

And as for those thatevolved into animals... does that mean everything I learned in Biology class isn't true?

Asterite: There is truth, it is just not the whole truth. Now how did you find this place?

Well...um...we found this invisible cave and there was a pool of water and when we got in the water we turned into mermaids....and...

Asterite: Fascinating. The Atlantians time traveled often and used the cave you describe to leave Atlantis and walk among land creatures. It is rare that non-Atlantians find these caves and it is rarer that the cave grants the individual the powers of the Atlantians

Perhaps it's to be required to have Atlantians' blood, even if it's just a little, or to have some kind of underwater creature, like a kraken, among our ancestors for the cave to grant us these powers. I don't think you mentioned if the Atlantians could turn into humans when on land or not, if so, please forgive my forgetfulness. Anyway, if they could turn into humans and one of the caves lead to Germany, then there might as well be a possibility that one Atlantian traveled to the past, had a child or more who ended up being my ancestors. And the same thing could apply to my husband too.
Of course, everything I just said might as well be nonsense.

Asterite: They could become whatever form was suited for that time period, so yes, that is a possibility.

One of my ancestors was a kraken. I can turn into a kraken and somewhat read whatever language that sphere was written in...

Asterite: Hm...could you turn into it?

*turns into a kraken*

Asterite: You do appear to be an Atlantian kraken...

*changes back*

Asterite: You will still have a sea creature form by default, but you need to find it. Each Atlantian had one sea creature that they had a natural bond with.

Alan: You really put a lot of thought and effort into this story of yours.
Thanks. I really put a lot of work hard in to my story, making it seem real and believable. I love my story. It's...it's a type of escape for me. I don't really know why...maybe to escape some of the world around me and the events and things that happen to me and to others... *Shrugs shoulders.*
Alan: I understand. Everyone needs something to help them escape from the real world and all that is in it. Believe it or not, I actually play the flute. Or played, I should say. I lost my flute a while ago. Just around the time that I started to look for the truth about Dual-Changers.

So, for all we know I could have Atlantians' blood; h***, everyone could have a bit of Atlantians' blood and not know it.
