It is strange but I guess this is fate.

Matt: Well, at least he has a home and is living with someone who cares about him. You know, the older a bat demon gets without having someone in their life, the more depressed they get until they eventually just shut down...

 

[Yuna Leonhart]

Really?

*look at the door through which Johnny and his mother left earlier before looking back at Matt*
Johnny told me he was really depressed before we got together. Every time he told me something about his past, I felt bad for him and just wanted to do something to make him feel better.

 

[Sgt Floyd]

Matt: Usually it doesn't start happening until their 50s, but I can see how everything that he's been through could have caused it to start happening sooner...

 

[Yuna Leonhart]

Yeah... He had to go through more in his almost twenty-one years of life than many people in their whole lives...

 

[Sgt Floyd]

Matt: No one should ever have to go through stuff like that. So what is all of this about him being half ghost?

 

[Yuna Leonhart]

Well, the scientists managed recapture him after the people posing as his parents kicked him out of the house and he became a half-ghost during one experiments. I don't know what experiment it was though...

 

[Sgt Floyd]

Matt: I see...well, at least he's not a full ghost, I guess

 

[Yuna Leonhart]

He can turn into one but he's still as alive as newly hatched ducklings and as adorable

 

[Sgt Floyd]

Matt: Good to know. I guess that explains his eye color...
