Well, it doesn't look very forest-y beyond the barrier. It looks more like the entrance hall of a castle...

Yeah, I don't get it either. I heard of gingerbread houses being located in forests but castles? :/

But why would the barrier only keep non-human things out? Why would someone want random people walking right into their castle?

But shall we go and see what kind of place this is?

*look around and see there's a door to the left of the staircase across from where I'm standing*

*look to my right and see another door*
