Rex: No. Don't be silly. They are kind of like familiars, except there's a stronger bond, like a close friendship, between the two. They can be anything that doesn't have a human form or human intelligence.

Johnny has a three-headed dog. But how can guardians heal monsters from things like these? By biting them?
