Shopkeeper: Any particular reason why you need a wolf form?

Well, I was temporarily a werewolf and after the werewolf virus was cured it left me with a wolf form...but then...uh...something happened and I lost it...

Shopkeeper: Riiiiight...you do realize that certain genetic forms aren't compatible with certain other genetic forms and will destroy each other right?

*look at Johnny and then at the shopkeeper*

Shopkeeper: Well, basically, if two incompatible sets of genetics enter the same body, either one of them gets destroyed or they both get destroyed, effectively removing them, and any forms they bring, from your body...it's interesting you say you lost your wolf form...let me take a guess and say you somehow got reptile genetics in you

Shopkeeper: yeah, for some strange reason, reptile and canine genes don't get along...

In other words, he can't have both reptile and canine form but only one of those...

Shopkeeper: Yep...it's the one drawback to being a shapeshifter...

*think Unless they're the kind of shapeshifter Vince is*

Well, guess it's hopeless to find a wolf form for Johnny... But at least we now know this. Besides, it's not the end of the world.

*ears droop* But I know how much you liked running around together in wolf form...

Shopkeeper: The only way around this would be for you to become a werewolf, then you would get a werewolf form and keep the reptile genetics, but if you are "cured" then the wolf genetics will take over again...

Yeah, but I want you to decide which form you prefer, even if it means we can't do this anymore...

*after the shopkeeper spoke*
Okay, just to make sure I didn't misunderstand this... if he becomes a werewolf, he can have both canine and reptile genes. But if he gets rid of the werewolf form, he can have only one of those genes. Right?
