And why didn't I comfort Sarge? I may not be the best person to do so, but…

*heads far out of the city to an abandoned part of town with old decrepit buildings not too far from where Yuna is*

*gets off bike and stands there for a moment before letting out a fully powered ghostly wail, demolishing surrounding buildings in seconds, even disintegrating some of them*

*breaths heavily as eyes go back to normal*

*sits on the ground, leans against bike and just stares into space*

Maybe I should just fly a little...

*let my wings grow and fly up in the air*

 

[Sgt Floyd]

It's not your fault. Stop thinking that. It could have happened to anyone...

*but then why do you seem to get into just as much trouble as Grace?*

I wasn't the one that destroyed the city. The dragon was...

There has to be something I can do to help

*yeah. like everyone is going to welcome the demon with open arms and shower it with flowers*

Yuna only left to give you time to calm down

*scrunches up with knees to chest and starts crying*

[starts flying twards the mountains]

*just fly in a random direction, still feeling bad for leaving Johnny just like that*

*notice someone next to a very familiar bike; fly down and realize it's Johnny*

*see he's crying; feel even worse*

*take him in my arms and put my wings around him, like an embrace*

*whisper*
I'm sorry for leaving you just like that. I guess I'm just a coward, always running away from problems. Nothing was your fault, the dragon could have chosen anyone.

*unable to say anything else; tears run down my cheek*

[pass right over S&Y, but doesn't notice]
Flying is so relaxing…

*looks up at Yuna*

I need to learn to stop listening to that nagging part of your brain that tells you everything is your fault and tries to put you down...

And I need to learn to stop running away.

But no matter what happens, I want to stay with you. I want to be there for you, just like you're always there for me.
