The Double Rainbow
By: Figgie
I looked up into the overcast sky,
There was something beautiful, I cannot lie.
In mirrored reflection of colors bright and bold,
I saw two brilliant rainbows haloed in gold.
I don't know what caused it, I know not why.
Yet the sight was so glorious I began to cry.
In my heart and mind, I saw two familiar faces.
Think it strange to see them in such places.
But two creators, two of a kind,
Entered not just my heart, but also my mind.
They were two rainbows, saluting the world,
Their banner of colors easily unfurled.
They may have passed on from our sight,
But up in Heaven, they still create light.
So wave your colors, wave it proud and high.
So when Jim and Jerry look down,
They'll be able to see your rainbow from the sky.
True story, all I'm gonna say.
