Greetings, it is I, the... Well, you guys oughta know who I am by now.
Wow... 13,000 posts. Where has the time gone?

So of course, reaching such a trixadexic turn of events, I'd want to celebrate it with my MC forum friends. But how?
Back when I still had sufficient sight enough to draw, and wasn't restrained by creative concerns, I loved making up robot bosses for the Mega Man video game franchise. Would create a robot boss based on pretty much anything.

So it occured to me... The best way to celebrate and cure my counting creative blues...
Bats! Battiful bats. But of course, I'd appreciate your help.
1 If you could design a Muppet bat focusing on one particular element or item, what would it be?
Don't hold back... From Popcorn Bat to Lightning Bat to Valentine Bat and anything in between.
2 How would you describe your specialized bat so as to highlight the item or idea behind its particularized name?
Will help me in developing each to then get artists on board as well.
3 What number would you give your specialized bat?
Will help cut down on another headache I've been having.

Additionally, for you ushgush lurkers... Not sure how many remember the living doll character I created in my fanfic, A Muppet Family Gathering. Her name, though initially reported as August in that same fanfic, has been changed to Autumn Transylvane.
1 To commemorate each thousandth post mark, what sort of creepy costuming would you design for her?
2 What other Netherworldly dolls would you add to this milestone marker group?
Think along the lines of spooky parodies of female celebrities or actresses.

Hope this gets the ball rolling and the ideas start piling up as high as I can count... To Mars' infinity... Noone ever gets there, but we can try.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask... Will check back later.

I would crochet a bat out of a lovely dark purple mock chenille yarn. It would have the number two because that is the number of years that I have enjoyed crocheting and knitting without worrying about what others think. To highlight it, the body of the bat would be made in the "feather and fan" pattern giving it a unique wavy rounded look.

1. Wow, I'm not really sure... how about a Baseball Bat?!:stick_out_tongue:
2. A bat that goes batty over "The Great American Passtime".
3. 8's my favorite number, so I say 8.

Congrats on 13,000 posts Count!!!

Hi Ed! Congrats on 13,000! That's amazing!

I would make a bat with purple and pink and somehow adorned with musical notes since I'm a musical person. So it would be called Musical Bat. Maybe she could have music note earrings or hanging from her wings or something. The number 4 would be a good number because most music can be written in four part harmony.

How's that? Let me know if you need more detail!

Congratulations on 13,000, Ed!!! That's awesome!!

I love the idea of Beth's musical bat! That's a type of bat I was thinking about, too! Another something I was thinking about... I would make a bat that's, I guess kind of girly, and would make most people roll their eyes at just how girly it is, hehe! One that's really pretty... blues, pinks, purples, etc with flowers on it. Tulips (as my fave flower), daffodils, roses... the like. As I said, kinda girly! But yeah... something like that. And the number 2, because it's a favorite number of mine.

Of course, with the way I feel today, it would be a Kleenex bat who's coughing and sneezing a lot... but that's not something I'd actually go for!

Mine would be Abstract Bat! He would be splotches of blue and purple and light green and everyone would marvel at him as an artistic masterpiece, even though he really just fell in the paint about 5 minutes ago. So, I'd give him number 5.

Thanks guys... Good first ideas. Mayhaps a little info needed: when I said these would be Muppet-like bats, I meant more in illustration/picture form. Think of the basic bat seen in the film for "The Batty Bat" to start with. Then, let's say you call your idea Baseball Bat. Main accoutremants to make it look like a "Baseball Bat" could be a baseball cap and glove with the baseball in it. Or you could stem from there to Slugger Bat with the helmet and wooden bat, or wherever imaginations may lead.

Frankly, I started this to see if my friends could help and get my counting creating blues taken care of. If there's not much interest then... Well, let's give this time and see if more replies come forth. Again, if not, then there's other avenues to pursue.

But thanks to all for playing, hope to see you soon.

WHOO! HUGE congratulatory (((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))) for you Ed! And for moi's bat...

I'd call him the Prawn Bat, a dark orange hue with long prawn-like antenae. And maybe four arms. I think I'd like the number to be 23.

Again, congrats!

Oh Pete, could you now?
:smirk:

Huge congradulations Ed! You're number 2; now if only we could find a way to lock Beau in the closet again...

As for the bats, bit of a strange idea... You say you want 1 for every 1000 posts you have here? How about, through a combination of your own memory and the web archiving site Snowth found, you go back to the approximate time you hit each thousand, and design a bat based on what was going on at that time? For example, let's say you hit 1000 at the time that the first Fraggle Rock DVD was coming out. You might design the 1 bat with the colors or feathery hair of a fraggle? See what I mean? Also, I think I'd like to PM you about this.
