The Count: Greetings! I am The Count! They call me The Count because I love to count things! Today, I shall count blue people. Let's see who will come by me that is blue.
(Kermit walks by)
Kermit: Hello, count.
The Count: Hi, Kermit... oh, you're not blue.
Kermit: No, I'm green.
The Count: He's... he's green?
Kermit: yeah, I know, it's not easy being green. (leaves)
The Count: That's one, one person... who is not blue, and one green person!
(Elmo and Zoe walk by)
Elmo: Hi, Count.
Zoe: Hello, there.
The Count: Oh, now that's... wait, you're red, and you're orange.
Zoe: Of course.
The Count: So that makes three, three people who are not blue, one red person, one orange person, and two, two wonderful monsters.
Elmo: That's right.
Zoe: Let's go, Elmo.
The Count: Ah-ha! Here comes someone now! Hi, Bert!
Bert: Oh, hello, Count.
The Count: i suppose you're not blue, either.
Bert: No, no, I'm yellow.
The Count: Oh, that's four people who aren't blue, and one person who is yellow.
Bert: That's right. Now if you'll excuse me, I've gotta go buy some bottle caps.
The Count: Oh, what a cruel, cruel world. nobody is blue. Just green, red, orange, and yellow.... Oh, here comes Sully. Hi, Sully.
(Sully waves his hand)
The Count: I suppose you're not blue, either, huh?
(Sully shakes his head)
The Count: Yeah, you're orange..
(Sully nods his head, and is about to speak)
The Count: (interrupting) ...oh, but wait! That's two, two orange people!
(Sully looks confused and leaves)
The Count: And I have counted five people whoa re not blue, which leaves five people that I have counted! Five, five wonderful peopel! A-ha-ha! (thunder and lightning strikes)
Grover: Oh, hey, Count, would you like to count people in the Blue People Parade?
The Count: A parade? Of course!
Grover: Okay, everybody, lets march!
The Count: Okay, there's (counting Grover) one, one blue person. (counts Cookie Monster, Herry, Harvey, and Maurice) two, three, four, and five, five blue people. (sees Fat Blue, Simon Soundman, and Proffessor Hastings) Six, seven, eight, eight blue people... (sees Ferlingetti Donizetti and hard head henry Harris) Nine and ten blue people... (sees Little Chrissy and Big Jeffy) eleven and twelve, twelve blue people.. (sees that there is no one left) Twelve! Twelve wonderful blue people! A-ha-ha!!!

Nice... Liked the little bits of dialogue between the characters... Also, the little bit of frustration by my roomie reminds me of Grover's multiple-part sketch where he was trying to find someone whose favorite number was 2.

Haha that was great. I never knew there were so many blue people on Sesame Street, nor did I know that Sully was orange! Who is Maurice, though?

This was cute!

Though you could have had more of a twist at the end. For example, have the Count start out looking for purple people to count. Then have him meet those same people of other colors, Bert (yellow), Elmo and Zoe (red and orange), Kermit (green), even Grover (blue). Then he gets discouraged that he hasn't been able to find any purple friends to count. Soon he figures out with the help of his pals that he himself is purple and he counts himself. "One, one vonderfully purple Count!" Then he can count all the many different colors of his friends. Sesame Street sketches usually have little tags like that at the end. Just an idea.

Great work though!

Really? I've never heard of that happen before, but then again, I don't reall know that much about classic SS. Nor did I know the Count was purple! Wow, this is turning into quite an education for me, lol!
Another idea, and what I thaught would happen, is that the Count's thunder and lightening would force the blue people to end their parad and start complaining or something, but I guess that would have taken too long, and taken away from the skit. I think it was just great the way it was though!

Kate... Maurice is a light blueish monster with a kind of olive green nose. He appears in the game show sketch Say The Word, where the word was "Stop", uttered at the end in a bit of a tickling war.
He was performed by Richard, you can get Sara to tell you more about him I think.

Yes, this was partially inspired by that skit.
