This is my second build. Far from perfect, but I am overall happy with the outcome. The amount of details was quite the challenge, and there is not much info on the internet about building a replica of him. Hope this inspires others to try to build him. I'm here if you have questions on my approach.

Hi there! I like your replica, it looks great! Can you yell me how you made the cape and what materials you used?

Hello there and thanks for the feedback! The base green fabric of the cape is from Amazon.
The decorative inside design is from Michaels. I linked both exact fabrics I purchased. I purchased one yard each for each fabric. Check out my Super Grover Accessory post for marking and cutting out the fabric for a cape shape. There is a good image posted showing how I have it folded and the lines I marked to cut. It's as simple as folding the fabric in half and cutting out a small half circle for the neck on the top and then a big half circle at the bottom for the length (however long you want it). Longer will be better IMO. I did this for both the green and the patterned fabric (same dimensions). Then it's a game of combining the two and creating nice seems by folding, ironing, pinning, and sewing. I used some basic youtube videos to come up with this. Mine is far from perfect but works out fine. The hood is completely seperate which is really just a large triangle piece I drew up and sewn with just the green fabric. Once I created the triangle template I used that same template to cut out foam as well. I cut out one piece of foam and used contact cement to glue bendable wire to the border of the triangle. Pinching the seems sealed the wire in there with the contact cement. After the foam is glued its stuffed in the hood then sewn shut and sewn to the center of the cape. It's more of a game of making nice seems, the rest is just sewing it together as best as possible. Good luck! I'd love to see your build! Hope this helps! Basic cape shape tutorials (half circles) on youtube is your friend!!

Thanks for the quick reply! I'll take a look at your Grover cape to help me out. Everything looks phenomenal.
Hopefully it covers how to attach them to the sleeve!

You were more than helpful! I also used your Elmo build to make mine. It's turning out really good.
Can I ask for more help/advice as I go on?
