Make that a black hat and large magenta bowtie. :embarrassed:

Charmin' was a live-hand orange AM that resembled Louise Gold and dressed as a Spanish flamenco dancer. She appears in an episode of "Pretty Great Performances" where she sends faxes to her far-away love, then ends up falling in love with sending faxes.

BTW, Count, her love's name is Jose, and was a lavendar live-hand AM with a pink nose, black hair, and lavendar eyelids, and dressed as a matador.
MuppetDude's description is pretty full. Though I think it was actually a Nestrapolitan Opera sequence. The song (with rewritten lyrics) was of course The Habenara from the opera Carmen (hence the name Charmin').

Incidentally, the skit must have been filmed in the early 1990's (cause Louise Gold only puppeteered on Sesame Street during the first half of the 1990s)

Thanks again, y'all!

My next characters:

The two cowboys that sang "Tall Short Texans". I don't know if this was a cartoon or a Muppet skit. If they were Muppets, could anyone please provide me with descripts of them?

Thanks as always, and have a good night!

A Muppet version was created on the "Elmo's Lowdown Hoedown" album, but Elmo and Big Bird performed it.

I guess that I knew all along that "Tall Short Texans" was a cartoon. Just wonderin', and thanks again!

My next character:

Yasha. He was a conductor who appeared in those weather reports Guy Smiley did. He also appeared in a weather report with Kermit and Simon Soundman. Please describe him as best you can!

Thanks, as always, and have a good night!

Xerus can help you with that, since he brought up the character, and has a very good memory of older clips.

It's been a while since I've seen that skit. But I'll try to describe Yasha the best I can. Yasha was one of those lavender round headed Muppets, with a white fuzzy wig and a white fuzzy mustache, and I can't remember the color of his nose.

He wore a black tuxedo and he had a mumbling Bert sounding voice by Frank Oz.

*Bumping this thread back up so BlueAM can see it and ask about any more SS characters he might have.
