Either way, there was actually a DVD movie made in 2003 or so that featured The Chipmunks and Chipettes as puppets (and as babies)... the puppets were pretty good, but the voices were awful... they must have gotten new voice actors to dub them or something. Jeanette sounded like Dexter for some reason.

Those puppets are great! Too bad the producers of the movies didn't consider puppetry to mkae the chipmunks come to life. That would've been pretty intresting to see.
