So since a few new Muppet puppets and plush are coming out, I thought I’d use this as an opportunity to list the ones I thought were the best we have had so far (ever) of the Muppets in terms of general likeness (excluding the replica photo puppets)....

Let me know if you agree/disagree or if you have any to add or any on your wish list.
And let’s keep it to the main gang...yes, I’m sure everyone wants a life-size Thog plush, but maybe there are some to campaign for that could actually happen....Anyway, here I go...

Kermit - Eden Toys body puppet

Fozzie backpack - Giftware International

Rowlf & Animal puppets - Fisher Price

Honorable mention goes also to the Fisher Price Miss Piggy puppet, but I think we still haven’t seen a great Piggy plush. The same goes for Gonzo, Scooter (how great would it to have a really good Scooter in his shiny green jacket!?), and the Electric Mayhem members.

So...over to you...

Heh... that's the only Walter we ever got.

I really wanna see someone try a Dr. Teeth again. The Electric Mayhem mini-Plush set was actually pretty good considering how much detail you lose when something's that small. But Janice's Hair needed to be thicker (like Zoot's) and Zoot's hair needed to be thinner (like Janice's). Other than that, I think Floyd and the Good Doctor looked pretty good. The large Janice looked much better. Still, not looking a gift horse or anything, but I find it strange we had a large Janice plush.

And I'm really disappointed we didn't get that Pigs in Space set. I really wanted a Link and Strangepork.

That Rowlf puppet is one of my holy grails. I've wanted one since I was five. I need that and the Fisher Price stick puppet for my toy dog collection. Unfortunately I don't usually have the kind of cash it takes to buy them.

Wow, I didn't know there was a Kermit puppet out there nicer than the Applause one. Do you have photos of it unaltered?

I don't know who made him , but there was a decent gonzo plush that had vinyl face, and the grey sweater. I think he came out in the early 90s. I bought him on the old Muppet Shop outside the stage show in WDW. that's the best Gonzo I've seen.
