The heretofore unreleasable 1960's Batman show sounds like it is indeed coming to DVD probably.

Absolutely amazing if this is true. Probably will be pretty expensive if it gets released. Seems that there's a big marketing push for the series before this was announced with collectibles and toys coming out the end of last year. Mayhaps they were planning this all along.

I'm glad Fox and WB managed to negotiate for this!

Not only that. That was a big stumbling block, but it was one of many.

The biggest problem was the celebrity and other character rights, especially the ones that popped out of windows. Biggest problem of all was the big cross over between Batman and The Green Hornet. A window gag is one thing, but there was a whole 2 part episode that would have caused problems.

Yes, it's official. This is the tweet that broke the news. I'm kind of excited about this but also, at the same time, a little disappointed because we just did a comic episode of the show a while back using Batman episodes. I hope that we don't get the episode pulled because it contained Batman episodes, especially with the DVD coming out. Although, I DO love me some Adam West "Batman"

While not quite as impressive, they've also managed to break the last Bat-Barrier.

The complete 1968 cartoon series has been announced as well
