I'm far more concerned that Dave doesn't mind that his kids are child soldiers.

The problem today is you can't so much as listen to this song without a bunch of wise@$$es having to crack obvious yet unnecessary gay jokes.
I'm a teenager, and didn't crack one joke. Never on the chipmunks, unless it's the CGI version.

Um, he doesn't mind that his kids are giant talking chipmunks either, what's your point? Lol
I dunno... it seems kinda funny in hindsight when you watch the 90's episode Cadet's Regrets, where Dave was insanely worried Alvin was in the military (I haven't seen the episode in a while, so I'm missing some nuanced details).

Lol, yeah that's a good example of how society changed. In the '50s and early '60s it was acceptable for little boys to play with guns and cartoon violence was still allowed to be funny.

Actually, Dave wasn't even in that episode, plus I don't think he even would have had a clue of what was going on, since Alvin had secretly enrolled him and his brothers into the camp's toughest program, instead of the two more age-appropriate programs where the kids did activities like build sand castles and swim and stuff.

I thought Dave WAS in the episode. I love how one Alvin Show segment starts a conversation. That's awesome how something like one segment make people happy or start talking. I also have Japanese Banana.
