I Love Lucy...The Dick Van Dyke Show...Leave It to Beaver...The Andy Griffith Show...The Honeymooners...

I know there is a really big popularity for 50s and 60s sitcoms on this forum, and I think it's about time they get their own thread. I know we've had threads in the past dedicated to the eras in general, but they play such an important role television history that I think they need their own thread.

Anyone else a fan of these classic sitcoms?

If you don't mind me extending the time frame of this thread by about three years, I recently purchased the complete series of Sanford and Son, which may not the most high-brow sitcom, but is still hilarious. Redd Foxx does a great job selling the corniest insults and his mannerisms are perfect. I'm looking forward to finally get to the episodes when they introduce Aunt Esther (I'm early in the second season and she hasn't appeared yet).

We actually have separate threads for these decades (50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, etc), the only thing is they're buried deep within the forums, and they were all actually started up in muffin-induced craziness.
