OK, here's the situation... I have a problem with my Target which is supposed to be a Muppet-seller... The thing is they are, but then they aren't. I should be able to pay retail for my things and not get hosed on em by specialty shops if there is an outlet near me that sells them for retail right???? Well, if I wanted 3 more Sam Eagles (In MTI gear which totally stinks) or some more Pigs in Space (what would be the point) I mean, then they ARE my Target store of choice... HOWEVER... S5 never hit the shelves there cause I have been casing the place ever since they came out. No one has seen them, no one has stocked them... It' totally stinks. Is it possible the secondary market is sucking them up that fast??? I mean, this really was the most chock full set if you wanted popular, sought-after figs for Muppets... I just wonder... What do you guys think??? There's probably nothing I can do about it and that's what stinks most.

PS, Uncleduke, I emailed your shop with a specific request to use you as my Muppet outlet since your prices rock and so does your store... If you could get back to me ASAP, I sure would appreciate it.

Your pal, Josh.

A new Target store has opened up a couple of minutes away from my house and the pegs were freshly stocked with nothing but S4 figures,Chef playsets & Mega Beaker. The only other Target nearest me is about 10-15 minutes away and have not received their S5 either. The pegs in that store are rather empty with only a couple of Sam's & Pigs in stock. So hopefully S5 will be out in our stores very soon.
No S5 at my local EB Games either. :frown:

My Target doesnt even carry them anymore. They supposedly do, but there's nothing. Picked up mega Beaker for like 8 bucks a couple weeks back there.

Target usualy takes a little longer to get Muppet figures than online retailers. You might want to try back in a few weeks.

All I want from em' is Koozebane Kermit; I get all my figures from Media Play or Suncoast.

Well if series 4 hasn't sold out yet then it makes sense that series 5 hasn't been stocked yet.

My local Suncoast STILL has a whole case of series 4, minus Rizzo that is, but they did stock series 5. The only problem was the the price went up another dollar. I like the figures, but 10 bucks a piece? Especially when the paint jobs were less than acceptable in many cases.

Yea, ditto about the paint. The shoulder articulation paint is worn off after moving it a couple times. I think the mega Muppets did this too.

10 is pretty ridiculous. I usually can spot em for 8 or so. Can always wait for clearance, too. My Suncoast marked wave 4 down to 6 apiece.

Thanks for talking me down guys...

First, lemme say how I appreciate that you all understand or at least tolerate how long winded I am and how often I fail to stick to the point.
Second, lemme say how happy I am to have found such a well-rounded group of Muppet fans to chat with here... it's relieving to my non-Muppet friends anyway since they don't give a crap that I got some of the limited edition figs for free.... What are ya gonna do???
On to my POINT!!!!
Tanks for talking me down from my attitude toward my Target. It's not like they have LOTS of S4 figs, its like, 2 pegs worth. If they got rid of the stupid Cat inthe Hat figs (OK, I bought one of those too, but I sure am a fan... gonna buy the vehicle too to use for Bunsen and Beaker... yeah, I'm a fanatic). I'll give my Target some time to make my Muppet dreams come true. Cause like JediX states, 10 bucks is a bit steep. 8-9 is kinda good, but 10 is crazy.
Which brings me to hte painjobs recently!!!
Is this set somehow subpar??? Am I the only one who thinks they skimped a little to rush something to the stores??? Camilla (mine anyway) has some loose rubber stuff (her wattle for those of you who are familiar with chicken anatomy) and I don't want to use just any glue to fix it as some glues might actually damage the rubber. There is also some paint spotting on each of the figs I bought from this series. And is Muppet Newsman SUPPOSED to havea kinda bobble-head thing going on??? If so it's cool, and if not, MINE DOES AND YOURS DOESN'T!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA... Anyway... These are my queries about this set... And the Target issue is all but solved, or at least postponed.

One thing I've learned is to not complain about little figure defects...last time I did I was attacked.
Subpar, no, not really. Not great, but not terrible. I've DEFINATELY seen worse. The figures themselves are great, love the sculpts and accessories and all that; my only paint complaint is about the shoulder articulations...there HAS to be a better way to do those.

As for price, I'll only pay over 8 for a figure if it is the paint variant or an exclusive (I had to shell over $9 for blue shirt vacation Fozzie). I also HAD to pay 10 apiece for Bunsen and Teeth since none of the stores really picked up on Muppets until series 2 or 3.

Oh yea, Cap, did you still wanna do that TTT-esque thing?

Sure thing!!!

First, I sure do want to do it and I sure WILL do it, I just don't know when... HAHHA>>>in order to see my dream of TMT become a reality, I have to get another job... 2nd job that is... That will take a decided chunk outta my time... Which will hinder the dream... Can't win for losin I guess. ANYWAY... Jedi, I am totally down and could certainly use some creative help... Email me at cap_backfire@hotmail and we'll hash some things out, OK???

As to the sub-par thing, I was trying to say sub-par for MUPPETS figs... As soon as I posted it I knew I would be regretting that specific comment since I love the figs. As to the shoulder paint, don't think there's a better way since these figs, while totally beyond all expectations as far as articulation, they were probably meant to be displayed and not continuously posed... So much for that, I might as well be 14 again, playing with these figs.. HAHAHA. It's a total riot.
So yeah, email me and we'll certainly talk about it. I'm home all day tomorrow so will be checking in on the email several times. Talk to ya later!!!

To that effect, anyone else who wants in on this, lemme know and feel free to email me.
