Calm down everybody! The Eye of the hurricane just hit the coast of Texas and the part where approximately 20% of the nations gas comes from. So because of that the lines have been completely shut down until it is safe and it is going to temporarily cause prices to go up because of less supply. So try to say calm and don't freak out. Natural disaster is the culprit in this case.

basically the song is about how the gas prices keep rising and if we dont doo something we are going to have another gas shortage

The time to have acted was 20 years ago when the first gas shortage hit us. We should have said "you know.... there's gotta be something else to use for fuel that doesn't pollute the environment, is renewable, and that the same people we're fighting won't sell to us to fund their wars we have to fight against them." But as soon as we said that, it was denounced as "Hippy mumbo Jumbo" and they told us that the best way to assert ourselves was to buy gigantic, dangerous, gas guzzling vanity monsters.

So we can yelp and yowl at everyone... but we have to blame ourselves for it too. Well, not me, since I don't own a car... but you get the message.

Nor I. My parents want me too, but I'm taking the safe route for now. XD

what amazes me is how people complain about high gas prices when most of the time the ones who complain are driving big monsterous gas guzzlers

I dont know if it aws mentioned yet, but apparently there is talk of putting a 10 gallon restriction on buying gas

Then how are people going to commute? Only the big cities have public transport, sadly.

As long as it will make the greedy jerks who got the SUV's in the first place pay for their share of the damage, I'd be okay with it.

But some middle class families use such vehicles. Heck, even my folks do. They need the SUV to be filled to the brim whenever they help me move back and forth from college to home.
