Thought this might be of interest to people in PA:

Renaissance Artist Puppet Company will be offering Puppet Manipulationand Building classes from July 31 ? August 11, 2006. Location: The Montgomery County Cultural Center, 208 DeKalb Street, Norristown, PA
19403. These classes are excellent for Professional Puppeteers, Educators interested in adding dimensional clout to their teaching curriculum arsenal. It is also very good for traditional Theatre artists interested in extending their instrument or Home school parents interested in getting ideas for new art classes.

Students will learn multiple building and manipulation techniques including but not limited to Bunraku style table top puppets, shadow puppetry, muppeteque style puppets, and Mask work. Students can attend one week morning or afternoon session, one week all day,two weeks attending morning or afternoon session, or two weeks attending all day. Tuitions run from $200 a week to $275 a week.
