Just wondering if the proliferation of stickys on the forum in recent months may be getting out of hand. A lot of the pinned (sticky) threads are infrequently posted too (why is the Weinerville thread in puppetry sticky?).

I think stickys are probably best used on a short-term basis to highlight upcoming events (TV appearances, product releases, etc.) and on a long term basis to answer frequently asked question ("How do I become a Muppeteer?" for example). Otherwise it gets out of control and makes the board hard to navigate quickly.

The Weinerville thread is sticky because a member specifically asked me to keep it that way. I said I would for a week or so.

I agree with your assessment concerning the use of sticky threads. I will go through the forum now and make some changes. Please let me know if you think things are better.
